Chocolate Walnut Bars

Servings: About 16 bars


  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened


  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 TB melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan and set aside.
  2. Combine flour, brown sugar, and softened butter in a medium sized bowl and beat with an electric mixer until crumbly. Press evenly into bottom of prepared pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes.DSC_0243
  3. Meanwhile, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla, corn syrup, and melted butter in a medium sized bowl. Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips.DSC_0249
  4. Pour over top of warm crust. Return pan to oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until filling is set.DSC_0262
  5. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars! Enjoy (:DSC_0282
